The governing body of the school is an elected Board of Directors (7-9 members) who are committed to the well-being of the school and its value in Bali. The Board has four main areas of responsibility: 

  • Acting in the compliance with the Yayasan, Bali International School By-Laws
  • Establishment and/or on-going review of the Vision, Mission, Values, Objectives and Policy statements of the school Strategic Planning, both immediate and long-term of the school
  • Fiscal understanding and oversight of the immediate and long-term viability of the school, analysis and approval of the annual BIS budget and review of the implementation of the budget on an ongoing basis.
  • The Board utilizes a committee structure to accomplish their responsibilities and school policies. Board meetings are held on a monthly basis and an Annual General Meeting is held in the first term of the Bali International School calendar year. Meeting times are announced and anyone may attend.

The Director of the school is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation. A Principal and an Assistant Principal assist the Director according to the organizational chart.

The faculty of the school consists of professionally qualified teachers from: Australia, Canada, Indonesia, France, Germany, Jordan, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand. One of the benefits for children is to have experience in learning from a diverse group of teachers as well as learning, playing and working with fellow students from all parts of our global community. A group of dedicated support staff helps make the entire Bali International School operation run smoothly.

Our student body represents 27 different countries.

Bali International School strives to be an open community where ongoing communication is encouraged, using proper channels of communication among all segments of the school community: students, teachers, staff, parents, and board members.
