Bali Island School (BIS) celebrates its 30-year anniversary this year
Bali International School opened in September 1985 and was renamed in accordance with the Ministerial Decree on Education in 2014. BIS is the oldest school in Bali and is the only school on the island authorized to offer the full International Baccalaureate Programme continuum from Preschool to Grade 12: Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. At BIS we pride ourselves in being a dynamic, community focused school. We aim for our students to develop confidence in their own abilities by actively inquiring and questioning. Students are encouraged to express their opinions and respect those of others. We strive to develop international mindedness in our students, with the hopes of developing global citizens equipped with the understanding and skills necessary to make impactful and ethical contributions. We value the development of the whole child. Our students are supported in their social and emotional development, as well as in their academic progress.
