The areas of interaction form the basis of the MYP and should be at the core of the teaching of all subject groups. They contribute to an education resulting in global awareness, international understanding and an appreciation of cultural diversity.

There are five areas of interaction: approaches to learning (ATL), community and service, homo faber, environment and health and social education.

The areas of interaction are central to the personal project and must be carefully considered when deciding on the choice of project.
