Camps 2008                                    13 May 2008

Dear parents and students from grades 6-10

As part of the Middle Years Program, Bali International School organizes yearly camps. The camps are designed to enable students to use their learning from across the curriculum in real life situations. Each camp has pre and post activities which will happen in Periods 6 and 7 on Tuesdays in the two weeks leading up to the camp and the week following camp in Term 4.

Camps focus on an appropriate Area of Interaction and students will receive credit towards their Community and Service obligations for their participation in both the camps and the pre and post activities. Students have a choice as to the camp they participate in based on numbers, grade and gender. Each camp can only accommodate a certain number of students and we will endeavour to place students according to their first, second or third preferences.

This year, like last year, camp groups will be composed of a mix of students from Grades 6 -10.

The following is a list of the camps we will offer this year. Changes may be made depending on numbers of students interested.  Costs were calculated based on the maximum number of students attending and may fluctuate depending on numbers who enrol.  Changes in price should not be dramatic but will reflect alterations in transportation costs.  Payment for camp will be made through the office after the camp lists are finalized.

All camp permission forms are to be returned no later than 16 May 2008, 12:00.

Detailed itineraries will be given to students once their places in camps are confirmed.
