How do I pay my electricity and phone bills?
Many people have wonderful staff at home that take care of this. The phone bill is due on the 15th of the month, electricity by the 20th. You can also easily arrange direct debiting from a rupiah bank account. The statements and copies of your bills are then sent directly to your home. Some examples are Lippobank for telephone bills and Bank Mandiri for electricity. Both banks have many branches and ATM’s around the island. You’ll need to present your passport to open the account.
