  • Safe Beaches for children.Sanur beach is a safe beach largely surrounded by a reef that protects the beach from waves. Also Gerger beach at Nusa Dua is a popular family Beach for those who live in the area.
  •  Pools. The Bali Hyatt JL. Danau Tamblingan, Sanur charges 75,000 per person for towel hire and use of their pool. It has a kiddie pool, a pool with a shallow end and a deep end. You can also hire pembantu (helper) who speaks English to look after children.
  • The Hard Rock Hotel in Kuta, charges 100,000 to use their swimming pool plus a 50,000 towel deposit - fully refundable. It has a sand bottom of pool, great slides for the kids, great music and is the biggest hotel pool in Southeast Asia.

Publications
Bali has two very useful Expat- style newspapers, The Bali Advertiser and the BaliSun. Both of these publications are free and are distributed in various shops, hotels and the BIS school office. The Jakarta Post can be delivered daily for RP. 120,000 per month. Tel.#226936. Other newspapers can be purchased at major intersections from paperboys
