Bali Island School Counseling Services

Social/Emotional Counseling Services

At Bali Island School, comprehensive support for students, parents, and teachers is provided through the Social/Emotional and College Admissions Counseling Services.

Designed to promote the safety and emotional health of students, this service aims to help young people reach their full potential and overcome barriers to learning.

With a person-centered approach, the counselor employs various therapeutic techniques, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Nonviolent Communication, and Sandtray Therapy to address issues such as stress, conflict, and anxiety. The goal is to listen to concerns, coach essential life skills, and advocate for students.

These sessions are confidential, ensuring a safe space for students to share their concerns openly. However, if a safety concern arises, the counselor is obligated to take appropriate action to ensure the student’s well-being.

Social/emotional counseling sessions are brief interventions, typically lasting around 3-4 sessions. If additional support is necessary after this time, the counselor will arrange specialist support to ensure the student’s needs are met.  Parent wellbeing workshops such as: Online Safety, Raising Teenagers in Bali, and Conflict Resolution are also offered throughout the year.
